All recreational programs offered through the City of Caldwell are on a first come first serve basis. Those enrolling on the internet will be processed in “real time” meaning they will be instantly enrolled in the activity. All programs require a minimum number of students in order for that program to run. Please sign up at least two days prior to the beginning of each class or by the deadline posted. Activities not meeting the registration requirements will be cancelled and the registrant will be notified. Participants will have the option of receiving a credit on their account or a full refund. All refunds will be processed through Caldwell City Hall and will be mailed to the participant, usually within three weeks. Please view the Refund Policy below for more detailed information.

Online Registration - With our new online system you will be able to register for activities through our Recreation Department on the internet. This new feature allows you to pay with a credit card or a bank card that can be used as a credit card. Please click here to access the new online system.
Mail-In Registration - Complete the registration form located on the back of our activity guide or click here to download a copy of our registration form. The form can be filled out then printed or printed and filled out by hand. Mail completed form(s) and payment to: Caldwell Recreation, 618 Irving St, Caldwell, ID 83605.
Walk-In Registration - Forms may also be brought in to the Recreation Department. Registration forms are available at the recreation department or click here to download a copy of our registration form to complete before you come in. After hours drop-off registration may be placed in our mail slot next to the ramp entrance to our building.

A total refund will be issued if the class or program you have registered for is full or has been cancelled by the City Recreation Department and for medical reasons (with documented evidence). A refund, minus a $6.00 processing fee is issued when you cancel 7 days before the starting date of the class. Fees will be charged for any class attended. The processing fee is waived if you apply your refund to an alternate session or class.

When the fee is less that

 Secret Pal - Financial Assistance Program |

Eligibility
|
1.
|
Applicants
must work or reside in the City of Caldwell's service area.
|
|
2.
|
Assistance
will be granted on the basis of financial assistance need. Developed
guidelines will be used as initial eligibility criteria.
|
|
3.
|
The City
of Caldwell believes that a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed
if the financial assistance recipient has contributed to the cost of their
program involvement; therefore, applicants will be asked to pay a portion of
the fees.
|
How to Apply
|
1.
|
Fill out
the Financial Assistance Information Form.
Forms are available at the Caldwell Recreation Department or can be downloaded
by clicking here. The downloaded form
can be filled out and then printed or printed and then filled on by
hand.
|

2.
|
Complete all activity
registration forms. Forms are availiable at the Caldwell Recreation office or can be downloaded in the How to Register located to the left.
|
|
3.
|
Applicants must present previous
year’s tax return and proof of present monthly income for two months time
(such as previous paycheck stubs).
|
|
4.
|
Applicant can sign up
for one program per child, per year.
|
|
5.
|
After
application and registration forms have been completed an appointment must be
made to review the application at the City of Caldwell Recreation Department.
|
|
6.
|
Individuals, local businesses, community service
organizations, and special interest groups fund the Secret Pals Program. In
an effort to keep these contributors aware of who is benefiting from their
funds, participants must write a letter expressing appreciation and program
involvement to the donors.

Selection Process
Financial assistance eligibility will be determined by the Recreation Superintendent or assigned staff, based on a thorough review of the application and personal interview with the applicant. Subsidies will be granted to the extent that the funds are available. The City of Caldwell reserves the right to refuse assistance to any applicant.

The following liability waiver applies to all participants enrolled in any City of Caldwell Recreational programs. Upon enrollment you accept the following conditions:

I certify that, to the
best of my knowledge, the participant(s) named herein is/are physically able
to engage in these activities.
|

2.
|
In consideration of acceptance
of the registration, I for myself, children, guardianship, and anyone
entitled to act on the behalf of anyone registered for the City of Caldwell Recreational programs, agree to waive any claim against the
City of Caldwell, its employees or its agents for injuries that may
occur as a result of my participation in this program. I understand the risks involved in the
activity and agree that I will exercise caution and take all steps necessary
to avoid injury.

I give my consent for use
of any photographs or videotape taken of myself and/or participant to be used
in future promotional and marketing materials.
