Caldwell Fire & Rescue was established in 1892 and is comprised of two fire stations within the city and one rural fire station located in Notus. We currently serve 22 square miles within the City and 120 square miles in rural areas. The city area is comprised of approximately 30,000 people and approximately 25,000 people within the rural area. These areas are currently covered by thirty-nine (39) career firefighters, twenty-one (21) paid on call firefighters, four (4) administrative personnel and one (1) office clerk. Together, we work hard to provide quality and efficient fire safety and rescue services, fire prevention services and hazardous materials services to the citizens of Caldwell and it’s surrounding rural areas.
Our mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Caldwell through preventing or minimizing the loss of life and property threatened by the hazards of fire, medical and rescue emergencies, hazardous materials incidents and disaster situations in our communities.
